Car and Job change

It’s been a fairly action packed month between changing job, car and gas/electric supplier (more on that later)

Firstly the Job, After 7 years at Aspire I felt on a professional level it was time to see what was out there. After months of looking, speaking with recruiters, posting an updated CV, rejecting offers and looking on Linkedin

It was not till I was catching up with an old friend in the form of Jonathan Davies and we got talking “Shop” and ge offered to hand my CV in for Roc where he’d been for a year as a Professional Services Consultant.

Sure enough a few weeks later ended up in an interview with John and Lee with the mid interview question “What’s half of 99?” (sorry John your secrets out for the next guy) to throw me off. Following on from interview questions I was told it would be a week or two while they finished other interview but with in one day along came the job offer via email and that was it, Goodbye Aspire and hello Roc.

I’ll always stand by I’ll miss the Aspire service desk staff, sales people and a few other individuals as they where the ones who made it but while working my three months (yes 90 day) notice period it became apparent to me that this was the correct move for me.

After being denied my previous 3rd line senior role for my remaining 90 days and instantly having every permission stripped off me it became apparent this was going to be a long three months. As I illuded to earlier staff like Jenno, Luke and Tom to name a few helped make it fly by and i cant thanks them enough

New car… again ?

Yes guys continuing what seems like a 2 year cycle its new cat time again, this is after:

  • Renault Clio
  • Renault Clio
  • Renault Twingo
  • Renault Megane
  • VW Bora
  • Astra VXR
  • VW Passat
  • Ford Focus ST
  • Ford Focus RS
  • VW Passat Estate
  • Audi A6 Avan

So, what next?

Well its 2023, I’ve got a new house and the future is coming so with the above history in mind it had to be something practical but no slouch when it came down to it and with the A6 I fell in love with automatic life

But as promised here is the is the new one

Audi E-Tron 69 plate 55 Quatro including 360 Camera, Bang and Olufsen, Ambient RGB lighting and sunroof from the sound and comfort pack, I collected it Direct from Audi Preston thankfully Zahida had it fully charged on collection for the 140 mike drive back.

On that drive all my range worries where blown away, managed to get home with 60% charge left and estimated range of 138 miles, this was quickly topped up at Washington services for 10 mins back up to 80%.

We’ll not talk about me reversing into the bay to find the cable didn’t reach while a Tesla driver giggled away. We’ll also gloss over the fist stop off in the northeast in an electric vehicle (excluding the services for a top up) was a petrol station for a cash machine
